For many Indian students from small towns and big cities, the biggest fear of studying abroad is "Culture Shock." But in Bangladesh, you won't feel like a stranger. The Bengali people are famous for their humble, polite, and friendly nature. From the local shopkeeper to your senior doctors, everyone treats you with a kindness that feels like home. Our cultures, food, and traditions are so similar that you’ll find yourself celebrating festivals with the same joy you do back in India. The best part is that they don’t have a ragging culture here in Bangladesh, especially for foreigners. The Brotherhood and sibling culture is quite strong, the seniors are referred as brother (Bhai) or Sister (Apu) infact 10 year senior alumni is also referred as Bhai/Apu and are there to help at every corner, No need to refer seniors as SIR/MAM/BOSS just simple mutual respect between a senior and junior. The Indian High Commission also plays a beautiful role here, organizing events and cultural programs that bring all Indian students together, creating a sense of unity and safety that is hard to find anywhere else in the world.
